2002: Tony Stewart wins the fourth race of the Cup season, the MBNA America 500 at Atlanta. It is his earliest win in his 13 Cup seasons. Stewart came close Sunday at Las Vegas of bettering that mark when he led 163 of 267 laps of the Kobalt Tools 400, the third race of the season, but he finished second to Carl Edwards.
