Bentley to perform All-Star pre-race concert

CONCORD, N.C. -- Grammy-nominated country-music superstar Dierks Bentley is set to perform a pre-race concert for the 2011 Sprint All-Star Race on May 21 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

The concert begins at 2:30 p.m. ET in the infield between Turns 1 and 2. Admission to the concert is free with the purchase of a ticket to the All-Star Race.

Additionally, the next 3,000 fans to call the Charlotte Motor Speedway ticket office at 1-800-455-FANS (3267) and purchase a frontstretch ticket to the All-Star Race can ask for the Golden Ticket package and receive a pass allowing early access to secure a prime location for the concert, along with a Wanted Poster, featuring Bentley. Each fan that purchases the package will be automatically entered for a chance to meet the country-music star on the day of the concert.

"I'm really looking forward to kicking off the All-Star Race in Charlotte," Bentley said. "It's always great to watch a race in NASCAR's hometown. I can't wait to cheer my buddies on!"

The Phoenix native has won countless awards, headlined arena tours, sold more than five million albums and celebrated seven number one hits. Bentley is currently in Nashville, Tenn., working on material for his next album. Fans can expect the first single this spring.

Bentley will headline a national tour, which kicks off next week and is set to wrap up in May, just a week before the Sprint All-Star Race.

Race fans may recognize Bentley's No. 1 hit song Sideways, which he re-recorded for Fox Sports' televised broadcasts of the 2011 Cup Series races.
