By the Numbers: Richmond filled with dominating performances

Richmond International Raceway is a .75-mile, D-shaped oval with 14 degrees banking in the turns. The frontstretch is 1,290 feet with 8 degrees banking; the backstretch is 860 feet with 2 degrees banking.

4 -- Different manufacturers to win in the past four races at Richmond: Toyota (Kyle Busch in May 2009); Ford (Carl Edwards in September 2009); Brad Keselowski (Dodge in April 2010); Chevrolet (Kevin Harvick in September 2010).

5 -- Drivers not named Kevin Harvick, Kyle Busch or Carl Edwards who have won in the past 16 races at Richmond: Johnny Sauter (September 2003); Robby Gordon (September 2004); Clint Bowyer (May 2007); Denny Hamlin (May 2008); Brad Keselowski (April 2010). Of those drivers, only Hamlin and Keselowski are entered in this week's race. Of Harvick (5 wins), Busch (3) and Edwards (3), only Edwards is entered.

39 -- Cars running at the finish in this past fall's race at Richmond, the most ever at the track in series history. It was one of the four races last season to run the new car.

224 -- Combined laps led in the two Richmond races last year by Brad Keselowski, the only driver to finish in the top-five in both races. Keselowski led 189 in winning the spring race; 35 in finishing second in the fall event. He has led 294 laps total at RIR, all in the past three races.

3 -- Drivers whose best average finish of any track is at Richmond: Kyle Busch (5.2 in 12 races); Clint Bowyer (9.8 in 10); Ryan Newman (11.4 in 18).

3 -- Consecutive races at Richmond in which the leader of the most laps has won; all three winners led more than 225 laps: Denny Hamlin (299 in September 2009); Kyle Busch (226 in May 2010); Hamlin (251 in September 2010). In the previous seven races, the leader of the most laps failed to win. JGR has won the past four races at RIR with Busch and Hamlin.

11 -- Top-10s in the past 12 races at Richmond for Kevin Harvick. He had only two top-10s in his first eight races there.

16.9 -- Average finish at Richmond for Jimmie Johnson, his second worst among active tracks despite being a three-time winner in 18 starts. He also hasn't finished worse than 11th in his past three races, including top-10s in both events last year.

191 -- Consecutive green-flag stretch in last spring's Cup race at Richmond, the longest in the series in nearly seven years. There were 23 wave-arounds on Lap 155. The Nationwide race this past fall featured a 103-lap green stretch, the longest ever at RIR since individual caution lap details became available in the 1997 season.
