Lap 400 -- CHECKERED FLAG: Everyone has enough fuel and Kyle Busch wins the spring race at Richmond for the third consecutive year. Denny Hamlin finished second with Kasey Kahne third.

Lap 399 -- WHITE FLAG: Kyle Busch takes the white flag.

Lap 396 -- Denny Hamlin a little faster than Kyle Busch but it might not be enough.

Lap 394 -- Mike Ford tells Denny Hamlin to save fuel.

Lap 392 -- Kasey Kahne eight seconds behind Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin.

Lap 390 -- Dale Earnhardt Jr. on pit road for fuel leaving just 10 cars on the lead lap.

Lap 388 -- Kyle Busch putting Kevin Harvick a lap down.

Lap 385 -- Denny Hamlin has cut Kyle Busch's lead to 1.5 seconds.

Lap 384 -- Jeff Burton goes a lap down as he pits to top off on fuel.

Lap 382 -- Dave Blaney and Greg Biffle go a lap down leaving just 13 cars on the lead lap.

Lap 380 -- David Ragan having a great night in fifth. Kyle Busch leads by 1.7 seconds with 20 to go.

Lap 377 -- After his pit stop, Martin Truex Jr. is too fast exiting pit road and will have to serve a pass-through penalty.

Lap 373 -- Martin Truex Jr. gets black flagged for a missing lug nut and that will ruin a great night for the No. 56.

Lap 371 -- Martin Truex Jr. on pit road because his tire was going down.

Lap 369 -- Greg Biffle has dropped to 10th. Martin Truex Jr. down to 14th.

Lap 365 -- Kasey Kahne can make it on fuel to the end. Kahne is currently third.

Lap 361 -- Kyle Busch is iffy on fuel. Martin Truex Jr. can make it to Lap 399. Denny Hamlin at worst can make it to Lap 400. Jeff Burton and Dale Earnhardt Jr. will have to pit for fuel as they won't be able to make it.

Lap 357 -- The question now is who can make it to the end on fuel with 43 laps remaining.

Lap 353 -- Kudos to Dave Blaney who is showing Talladega was no fluke. Blaney is on the lead lap in 19th.

Lap 351 -- Carl Edwards gets around Kevin Harvick for eighth. Kyle Busch leads by 2-plus seconds.

Lap 344 -- Mark Martin runs 19th after being involved in the Lap 301 crash.

Lap 341 -- Kasey Kahne up to fourth as he gets around Jeff Burton.

Lap 337 -- Ryan Newman has dropped to 20th as there is some good racing from 14th to 20th.

Lap 331 -- Dale Earnhardt Jr. remains in the top 10 currently 10th. Clint Bowyer sits 11th and Jimmie Johnson has rebounded to 12th.

Lap 326 -- Kyle Busch has opened up a 1.6-second lead on Denny Hamlin. Ryan Newman somehow is still on the lead lap in 14th.

Lap 323 -- Tony Stewart up to seventh. Kevin Harvick is eighth and Carl Edwards is ninth.

Lap 320 -- If the race stays green, third-place Greg Biffle will have to stop for fuel.

Lap 319 -- Denny Hamlin and Martin Truex Jr. drive around Jeff Burton dropping the No. 31 to fourth.

Lap 317 -- Kyle Busch goes to the outside and drives away from Jeff Burton for the lead.

Lap 314 -- Dale Earnhardt Jr. spins the tires on the restart. Kyle Busch up to second as Jeff Burton leads.

Lap 313 -- GREEN FLAG: Jeff Burton brings the field to the green followed by Dale Earnhardt Jr., Greg Biffle, Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin.

Lap 307 -- Paul Menard and David Reutimann on pit road for repairs. Jeff Gordon's evening is over.

Lap 304 -- Jeff Burton inherits the lead after Carl Edwards hit pit road.

Lap 303 -- Pit road is open. Carl Edwards, Regan Smith, Jamie McMurray and Clint Bowyer among those to pit along with those involved in the crash.

Lap 301 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 8: Things got bunched up and four wide on the restart and some of the leaders got together. Jeff Gordon gets spun after contact with Paul Menard. Menard, Mark Martin, David Reutimann, Bobby Labonte, Jamie McMurray and Matt Kenseth all suffer damage. Dave Blaney gets the free pass and is back on the lead lap.

Lap 299 -- GREEN FLAG: Carl Edwards brings the field to the green followed by Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Burton, David Ragan and A.J. Allmendinger.

Lap 295 -- Brad Keselowski has to take the No. 2 to the garage.

Lap 293 -- The leaders hit pit road. Jeff Gordon with four tires and a small adjustment. Denny Hamlin with four tires and a small adjustment in the right rear. Kyle Busch with four tires and fuel. Carl Edwards stays out to lead. Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Burton, David Ragan, A.J. Allmendinger, Paul Menard and Ryan Newman also stay out.

Lap 292 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 7: Brad Keselowski spins and brings out the caution again. Jimmie Johnson gets the free pass and is back on the lead lap.

Lap 290 -- David Reutimann, Kurt Busch and Marcos Ambrose got together in the corner and Busch has a tire rub.

Lap 288 -- Kyle Busch wrestles the lead away from Denny Hamlin.

Lap 287 -- A little bumping between teammates for the lead as Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch are side by side.

Lap 285 -- Kyle Busch is on the move as he goes from fourth to second on the restart.

Lap 284 -- GREEN FLAG: Denny Hamlin brings the field to the green followed by Martin Truex Jr., Matt Kenseth, Kyle Busch and Kasey Kahne.

Lap 280 -- Dale Earnhardt Jr., David Reutimann, Ryan Newman, Carl Edwards, Greg Biffle, Kevin Harvick and Tony Stewart among the cars to pit.

Lap 279 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 6: Brad Keselowski and Landon Cassill get together in Turn 2 sending Keselowski around. Keselowski able to keep the No. 2 off the wall. Paul Menard gets the free pass and is back on the lead lap.

Lap 276 -- Kyle Busch up to fourth as he passes Clint Bowyer. Jeff Gordon drops Bowyer to seventh.

Lap 274 -- Denny Hamlin dives to the bottom in Turn 4 and passes Matt Kenseth for the lead.

Lap 272 -- No tires hurting David Reutimann as he is down to seventh.

Lap 271 -- Matt Kenseth gets a great start and leads. Denny Hamlin moves into second.

Lap 270 -- GREEN FLAG: Matt Kenseth brings the field to the green followed by Kasey Kahne, Denny Hamlin, Martin Truex Jr. and David Reutimann.

Lap 267 -- Pit road is open. Brian Vickers in 19th the highest-running car to pit.

Lap 265 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 5: Casey Mears spins in Turn 1 on the restart. Jeff Burton gets the free pass and is back on the lead lap.

Lap 264 -- GREEN FLAG: Matt Kenseth brings the field to the green followed by David Reutimann, Kasey Kahne, Carl Edwards and Denny Hamlin.

Lap 263 -- Jimmie Johnson was going to take the wave-around but because two cars stayed out, he had to pit.

Lap 257 -- The leaders hit pit road. Track bar adjustment for Jeff Gordon. Denny Hamlin with a small adjustment to tighten him up. Kyle Busch with an air pressure adjustment. Martin Truex Jr. with no adjustments. Kasey Kahne and Carl Edwards each take two tires. Matt Kenseth stays out to lead. David Reutimann also stays out.

Lap 255 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 4: Jimmie Johnson gets into Joey Logano in Turn 2 and Logano spins and hits the wall. Tony Stewart gets the free pass and is back on the lead lap.

Lap 253 -- David Reutimann up to ninth as he is running the best he has all night. Carl Edwards also in the top 10 in 10th.

Lap 250 -- Landon Cassill gets into Marcos Ambrose causing Ambrose to get loose but save it.

Lap 246 -- Martin Truex Jr. with a great move to go from fourth to first and lead for the first time tonight.

Lap 245 -- Kyle Busch jumps the restart and has to slow down. Juan Montoya warned by NASCAR to run clean the rest of the evening or he will be parked.

Lap 244 -- GREEN FLAG: Denny Hamlin brings the field to the green followed by Kyle Busch, Jeff Gordon, Martin Truex Jr. and Clint Bowyer.

Lap 242 -- Juan Montoya and Ryan Newman back on pit road. They will start next to each other on the restart. Newman is still on the lead lap.

Lap 237 -- The leaders hit pit road. Jeff Gordon with a track bar adjustment. Denny Hamlin with a minor adjustment. Kyle Busch with multiple adjustments. Hamlin wins the race off pit road and is back out front.

Lap 236 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 3: Juan Montoya exacted his revenge on Ryan Newman and sent the No. 39 around and into the wall. Kurt Busch couldn't stop in time and hit Newman. David Ragan gets the free pass and is back on the lead lap.

Lap 229 -- Kevin Harvick is 14th and says he is loose and they just missed the setup tonight.

Lap 225 -- Martin Truex Jr. runs the highest he has of the night in sixth.

Lap 223 -- Greg Biffle is currently ninth, a spot behind his highest position of the evening.

Lap 221 -- Denny Hamlin fading just a little as Clint Bowyer closes in for third.

Lap 218 -- After getting as high as fifth, Brian Vickers is down to 12th.

Lap 214 -- David Ragan is currently the first car one lap down. Jimmie Johnson is right behind him. Kurt Busch and Juan Montoya among the drivers two laps down.

Lap 208 -- There is a looming battle between Ryan Newman and Juan Montoya for some earlier contact. Newman is eighth and worried that Montoya is out for revenge.

Lap 206 -- It looks like Kyle Busch will hold the lead ... for now.

Lap 204 -- Kyle Busch and Jeff Gordon continue to swap the lead.

Lap 203 -- Jeff Gordon unable to pull away from Kyle Busch and the No. 18 is challenging for the lead.

Lap 200 -- Jeff Gordon goes to the inside of Kyle Busch in Turn 4 and leads for the first time tonight.

Lap 197 -- Tony Stewart and Paul Menard racing hard to be the first car one lap down.

Lap 196 -- Denny Hamlin already a second behind Kyle Busch and Jeff Gordon.

Lap 194 -- Kyle Busch jumps out to the lead. Jeff Gordon uses the inside line to pass Denny Hamlin for second.

Lap 193 -- GREEN FLAG: Kyle Busch brings the field to the green followed by Denny Hamlin, Mark Martin, Jeff Gordon and Clint Bowyer.

Lap 187 -- The leaders hit pit road. Jeff Gordon with a track bar adjustment. Denny Hamlin with a right-rear adjustment. Kyle Busch with an air pressure adjustment. The top six hold serve.

Lap 185 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 2: Debris from Kurt Busch brings out the caution. Dale Earnhardt Jr. gets the free pass and is back on the lead lap.

Lap 184 -- Kurt Busch got into the wall in Turn 2 but it looks like the damage is minimal and he continues.

Lap 182 -- Juan Montoya hits pit road to begin another round of green-flag stops.

Lap 177 -- Fresh off his knee surgery, Kasey Kahne runs seventh but is having some slippery petal issues inside his No. 4.

Lap 169 -- Paul Menard and Brad Keselowski are a lap down.

Lap 164 -- Aside from the leaders, the top 10 are pretty spread out and just turning laps, trying to get around lap traffic.

Lap 160 -- Denny Hamlin trying to get to the inside of Kyle Busch for the lead. All the while, Jeff Gordon closing on the duo.

Lap 154 -- Jimmie Johnson is 30th, one lap down, and not very happy on the radio.

Lap 151 -- Jamie McMurray and David Reutimann quietly having solid nights with McMurray 12th and Reutimann 13th.

Lap 147 -- Ryan Newman has been in the top 10 all night and is currently seventh.

Lap 144 -- Bobby Labonte and Juan Montoya go a lap down.

Lap 139 -- Michael McDowell takes his car to the garage.

Lap 135 -- Greg Biffle hasn't been great at Richmond recently but is quietly putting a good run together in 14th.

Lap 132 -- After his problems, Juan Montoya is now 22nd but still on the lead lap.

Lap 130 -- Kyle Busch able to keep Denny Hamlin behind him, but it doesn't look like it will be for long.

Lap 125 -- Denny Hamlin is on Kyle Busch's bumper. The two of them have opened up a 1.6-second lead on third-place Jeff Gordon.

Lap 122 -- Carl Edwards down to 20th after contact with Jimmie Johnson, who is a lap down.

Lap 118 -- Brian Vickers started 37th and is currently seventh. Jeff Gordon passes Clint Bowyer for third.

Lap 116 -- On the restart they get four-wide. Kyle Busch jumps out to the lead.

Lap 115 -- GREEN FLAG: Kyle Busch brings the field to the green followed by Clint Bowyer, Denny Hamlin, Mark Martin and Kasey Kahne.

Lap 110 -- Bobby Labonte, Travis Kvapil and Dale Earnhardt Jr. back on the lead lap with the wave-around. Others multiple laps down also taking the wave-around.

Lap 109 -- The leaders hit pit road. Jimmie Johnson with adjustments and four tires. Four tires for Denny Hamlin. Air pressure adjustment for Clint Bowyer. Kyle Busch with no changes and four tires.

Lap 107 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 1: Debris from the No. 42 brings out the caution. Brad Keselowski gets the free pass and is back on the lead lap.

Lap 106 -- Ryan Newman got into Juan Montoya sending the No. 42 into the wall.

Lap 103 -- Denny Hamlin passes Mark Martin for third. Juan Montoya has some damage.

Lap 98 -- Kyle Busch has a five-second lead on second-place Clint Bowyer.

Lap 96 -- Twenty-one cars are on the lead lap. Brad Keselowski is in 21st. Tony Stewart is 22nd, the first car one lap down.

Lap 94 -- A.J. Allmendinger in the top 10 as he runs seventh after green-flag stops.

Lap 92 -- The top five after green-flag stops: Kyle Busch, Clint Bowyer, Mark Martin, Denny Hamlin and Kasey Kahne.

Lap 90 -- Slow stop by Denny Hamlin gives Kyle Busch the lead.

Lap 89 -- Denny Hamlin pits. Small adjustment on the right rear and four tires.

Lap 88 -- Jeff Gordon, Kyle Busch and Kasey Kahne on pit road.

Lap 87 -- Clint Bowyer, Mark Martin, Matt Kenseth and Joey Logano on pit road. Bowyer with an air pressure adjustment.

Lap 85 -- Regan Smith hits pit road. Smith with four tires and adjustments.

Lap 83 -- Kyle Busch passes Kasey Kahne for second. Jimmie Johnson goes a lap down and numerous cars are on pit road.

Lap 82 -- Juan Montoya and Kurt Busch on pit road. Montoya with multiple adjustments.

Lap 80 -- Jamie McMurray hits pit road as does Kevin Harvick. Harvick with four tires and a minor adjustment.

Lap 79 -- Bobby Labonte and Tony Stewart are a lap down. Clint Bowyer down to fourth.

Lap 76 -- Brad Keselowski pits early and is now two laps down.

Lap 75 -- Travis Kvapil and David Gilliland a lap down. Tony Stewart, Bobby Labonte and Jimmie Johnson are next in line.

Lap 73 -- Denny Hamlin is the fourth leader of the race as he passes Kasey Kahne at the start/finish line.

Lap 71 -- Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Marcos Ambrose go a lap down.

Lap 70 -- Denny Hamlin passes Clint Bowyer for second.

Lap 68 -- Kurt Busch and Casey Mears go a lap down as a bunch of cars are now close to being lapped including Tony Stewart and Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Lap 66 -- Dave Blaney goes a lap down.

Lap 64 -- Martin Truex Jr. quietly working his way up to 12th after starting 21st.

Lap 61 -- The top five: Kasey Kahne, Clint Bowyer, Jeff Gordon, Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch.

Lap 59 -- Jimmie Johnson is stuck in 28th and wants his car tightened up on the first pit stop.

Lap 57 -- Juan Montoya says his car is very tight and he falls to seventh as Mark Martin and Kyle Busch get around him.

Lap 55 -- David Stremme and Landon Cassill go a lap down.

Lap 53 -- Greg Biffle up to 19th. Matt Kenseth now 20th with Bobby Labonte 21st.

Lap 51 -- Andy Lally goes a lap down. Regan Smith has dropped to eighth.

Lap 49 -- Michael McDowell goes a lap down. Denny Hamlin passes Regan Smith for fifth.

Lap 47 -- Mike Skinner takes the No. 60 to the garage.

Lap 45 -- Kasey Kahne finally gets around Clint Bowyer and becomes the third race leader.

Lap 44 -- Joe Nemechek takes his No. 87 to the garage.

Lap 41 -- J.J. Yeley has taken the No. 46 to the garage. Matt Kenseth up to 23rd after starting 33rd.

Lap 38 -- Denny Hamlin up to sixth. Brad Keselowski has dropped to 10th.

Lap 35 -- Kasey Kahne closing on Clint Bowyer and looking for the lead. Joe Nemechek, Ken Schrader and J.J. Yeley go a lap down.

Lap 33 -- Mike Skinner goes a lap down. Joe Nemechek is next in line.

Lap 31 -- Kyle Busch is in the top 10 as he runs 10th. Tony Raines goes a lap down.

Lap 29 -- Juan Montoya dropping like a rock as he falls to fourth.

Lap 27 -- Kasey Kahne gets around for Juan Montoya for second. Robby Gordon goes a lap down.

Lap 26 -- Clint Bowyer goes to the inside and passes Juan Montoya in Turn 2 for the lead.

Lap 24 -- Juan Montoya is a turn away from the tail end of the field and will start lapping cars in the next few laps.

Lap 22 -- Clint Bowyer starting to close the gap on Juan Montoya.

Lap 19 -- The top nine have pulled away from the rest of the field. Juan Montoya continues to lead.

Lap 16 -- Jimmie Johnson up to 25th after starting 30th.

Lap 14 -- Regan Smith continues to slide as Kasey Kahne passes him for fourth.

Lap 13 -- Juan Montoya has opened up a 0.6-second lead on Clint Bowyer.

Lap 11 -- Kyle Busch has made up four positions and is 16th.

Lap 9 -- Jeff Gordon gets around Regan Smith for third.

Lap 6 -- Tony Stewart up to 26th after starting 31st.

Lap 4 -- They are single-file back to eighth. Denny Hamlin up to ninth.

Lap 2 -- The inside line looks quick as Clint Bowyer passes Regan Smith for second.

Lap 1 -- Juan Montoya has a great start and leads the first lap.

7:47 p.m. ET -- GREEN FLAG: Juan Montoya brings the field to the green and the race is under way.

7:41 p.m. ET -- The cars are rolling off pit road for three warm-up laps.

7:38 p.m. ET -- Crown Royal contest winner Staff Sgt. Matthew Hansen gives the command: "Gentlemen, start your engines!"

7:34 p.m. ET -- J.J. Yeley will move to the rear of the field due to an engine change.

7:31 p.m. ET -- The Commandants own United States Marine Drum & Bugle Corps perform the national anthem.

7:30 p.m. ET -- Reverend Joe Ellison from Essex Village Community Church delivers the Invocation.

7 p.m. ET -- FOX's pre-race coverage of the Crown Royal presents the Matthew and Daniel Hansen 400 is under way.

6:50 p.m ET -- It's a beautiful evening in Richmond, Va., and after a week off, the Cup Series returns to action for 400 laps at Richmond International Raceway. It's currently 67 degrees under partly cloudy skies and temperatures will drop into the 50s as the evening progresses. Juan Montoya and Regan Smith will lead the field when the green drops at 7:46 p.m. ET. Joe Gibbs Racing has won the past four Cup races at Richmond and JGR driver Denny Hamlin is looking for the weekend sweep after dominating Friday night's Nationwide race.
