1991: Elmo Langley makes a last-lap pass of Cale Yarborough on the quarter-mile track inside the frontstretch of Charlotte Motor Speedway to win the Winston Legends Race. The scheduled 40-lap exhibition ends after 30 laps because of rain. Paul Goldsmith finishes third. Of the 22 legends starting the race, 11 are running at the finish.
