1941: Happy 70th birthday to Cecil Gordon, who made his Cup debut in 1968. Gordon made 449 starts over 17 seasons but didn't win a race. He had 29 top-fives and 111 top-10s. His best finish was second in the 1975 Mason-Dixon 500 at Dover. Twice Gordon finished third in the standings (1971 and 1973), and he finished fourth once (1971).
