1952: Tim Flock wins the only Cup race at Wine Creek Race Track in Oswego, N.Y., which also is the first Cup race run on the Fourth of July. Flock and Herb Thomas are the only drivers to complete all 200 laps on the half-mile dirt track. Dick Rathman finishes third, one lap back.
