1960: Lee Petty wins the final Cup race at Heidelberg Raceway, which was the site of the seventh Cup race in 1949, the series' inaugural season. Petty leads 169 of the scheduled 200 laps on the half-mile dirt track in Pittsburgh and finishes three laps ahead of his son Richard Petty. Rex White is third, another lap back. The race is shortened to 188 laps because of rain. Lee Petty also won the inaugural race.
