1962: Jack Smith wins at New Asheville Speedway in Asheville, N.C., for his 21st and final Cup victory. Smith's first race was in the Cup Series' first race, at Charlotte Speedway in June 1949; Smith finished 13th. Smith finished his career in 1960 with 142 top-10s and 23 poles in 264 starts.
