Lap 85 -- CHECKERED FLAG: Kurt Busch holds on to score the victory in relief of Penske Racing teammate Brad Keselowski. It's Busch's first Nationwide Series win since August 2006 at this same track. Lap 84 -- WHITE FLAG: Kurt Busch has a comfortable lead going into the final corner. Lap 83: Kurt Busch overdrives turn one, but so do his main competitors. Jimmie Johnson moves into second. Lap 83 -- GREEN FLAG: Kurt Busch, Carl Edwards, Jimmie Johnson, Kyle Busch and Joey Logano are the leaders on the restart. Elliott Sadler, Aric Almirola, Ron Fellows, Paul Menard and Trevor Bayne are sixth through tenth. Lap 80: Third-place Ron Fellows, fourth-place Joey Logano, Paul Menard and others are on pit road. The front two cars -- Kurt Busch, Carl Edwards -- stay on the track, and so does Jimmie Johnson. Lap 79 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 2: Casey Roderick and Eric McClure get together at the exit of the inner loop. There are ten cars remaining on the lead lap. Lap 78: Kyle Busch gives up the lead to pit for fuel. Lap 77: With Kurt Busch continuing to press him for the lead, it's becoming less certain whether leader Kyle Busch will be able to make it the rest of the way. Lap 75: Carl Edwards is two seconds behind leader Kyle Busch, while fourth-place Ron Fellows is more than 20 seconds back. Mike Wallace spins at the entrance to the final turn, just as Kurt Busch is lapping him. There's no caution. Lap 73: The leaders -- Kyle and Kurt Busch -- are in heavy lapped traffic. Lap 71: If the race goes green the rest of the way, the win should come down to a race between Kyle and Kurt Busch. Carl Edwards is more than three seconds behind them. Lap 63: Kurt Busch isn't yet pressing the issue with Kyle Busch. The margin between the two is now a little more than four tenths of a second. Lap 63: Ricky Stenhouse Jr. brings his Ford back onto pit road. Lap 62: Kurt Busch has caught his brother in the race for the lead. Lap 61: Ricky Stenhouse spins in the final corner, but doesn't bring out the yellow. Lap 59: Kyle Busch is now figured to be about a half-lap short on fuel. Saving gas, he is now only about 1.2 seconds in front of Kurt Busch. Lap 57: After the cycle of green-flag stops, the top five are Kyle Busch, Kurt Busch, Carl Edwards, Ron Fellows and Joey Logano. Kyle has a three-second advantage over his older brother. Lap 56: Jason Leffler and Justin Allgaier are stopping for service. Brian Scott is back in, after pitting on lap 50. Lap 55: Kurt Busch gives up the lead to drop into his pit stall. Lap 54: Carl Edwards, Jimmie Johnson, Elliott Sadler, James Buescher and others are on pit road. Lap 52: Aric Almirola and Joe Nemechek pit. Lap 51: Joey Logano and Paul Menard are making their stops. Lap 50: Kyle Busch pit under green. Jason Ratcliff, his crew chief, thinks they can go the rest of the way without stopping. Lap 48: Dennis Setzer spins in the inner loop, but he's able to get back under way without bringing out the caution. Lap 42: The top five is currently Kyle Busch, Kurt Busch, Carl Edwards, Ron Fellows and Paul Menard. Joey Logano, Trevor Bayne, Jimmie Johnson, Brian Scott and Joe Nemechek make up the rest of the top 10. Lap 40: Third-place Carl Edwards gets way off track in turn one, but since the gravel trap that was once there has been paved over, he's able to keep going without losing a spot. Lap 39: Elliott Sadler, running in fifth place, is on pit road with an overheating engine. Lap 36: Ron Fellows has closed on Carl Edwards in a race for third place. Lap 33: Out of sequence on fuel, Kyle Busch will probably stay out until lap 50 or so. Lap 32: Kyle Busch has some daylight back to Kurt Busch, but Carl Edwards is still on Kurt's bumper in the race for the runnerup spot. Lap 31: The first three cars -- Kyle Busch, Kurt Busch and Carl Edwards -- are all over each other for the top spot. Lap 29: Kurt Busch gets out of shape at the bottom of the hill in the first turn, and Kyle Busch takes advantage of it. Lap 29 -- GREEN FLAG: Kyle Busch, Kurt Busch, Ron Fellows, Carl Edwards and Elliott Sadler lead the field to the restart. Lap 25 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 1: Eric McClure's car has stopped at the top of the esses. Lap 24: Leader Kurt Busch is on pit road. Lap 23: Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Steve Wallace, Brian Scott, Jimmie Johnson and Carl Edwards are on pit road. Johnson will have to come back in after he leaves his pit stall with the gas can still attached. Lap 21: Expect green-flag stops in the next lap or two. Lap 20: The water temperature in Carl Edwards' car is back down to about 260 degrees. Lap 19: Carl Edwards' car has a substantial overheating problem. He says the water temperature has reached 300 degrees. Lap 19: Kyle Busch's problem in the inner loop and subsequent pit stop has dropped him to 16th place. Lap 18: Kyle Busch is on pit road with grass on the grille of his care and steam pouring out of an overflow. Lap 13: The race up front has settled down. Kurt Busch has a lead of about a second over Kyle Busch, with Carl Edwards another second back. Lap 11: The top-three cars have a lead of nearly five seconds over fourth-place Ron Fellows. Elliott Sadler is currently shown in fifth place. Lap 10: Kyle Busch drops his left-side tires over the rumble strips in turn one, getting him out of shape and allowing Kurt Busch to retake the top spot. Lap 9: Kyle Busch takes the lead from his brother as they zip through the inner loop. Lap 8: Still no change in the running order up front, although they appear to have tightened up on the track. Lap 6: Carl Edwards looks low again coming out of the esses. Lap 5: Carl Edwards takes a peek underneath Kyle Busch for second place as they approach the inner loop, but thinks better of it and backs off for the time being. Lap 3: The first three cars in the running order -- Kurt Busch, Kyle Busch and Carl Edwards -- are basically running nose to tail. Lap 2: Some cars are already equipped with windshield wipers, and rain tires are available for the Nationwide Series in the event of precipitation. Lap 1 -- GREEN FLAG: Kurt Busch clears his brother for the lead as they head into the inner loop. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. gets off course coming into the final turn, but gathers it back up and continues. 2:13 p.m.: The field is headed through the inner loop for the final time before the green flag. 2:09 p.m.: Cars go about 30 laps on fuel here at Watkins Glen, which means that the first round of pit stops could come as early as lap 22 or so. 2:06 p.m.: With an overcast sky and the potential of rain, cars are rolling off pit road for the start of today's pace laps five minutes early. Pre-Race, 2:03 p.m.: Ryan Friedlinghaus, CEO of West Coast Customs, gives the command to fire engines. Pre-Race, 1:57 p.m.: Singer/songwriter Kim DiVine is singing the National Anthem. Pre-Race: Kurt Busch, filling in for the injured Brad Keselowski, is on the pole for today's Zippo 200. Beside him on the front row will be his brother, Kyle. Carl Edwards, Elliott Sadler and Ron Fellows are third through fifth, while Jimmie Johnson, Paul Menard, Joey Logano,Jason Leffler and James Buescher round out the top 10. Chase Miller, Brian Keselowski, Tomy Drissi, Brian Simo and Tim Andrews failed to qualify for the event.
