1967: Richard Petty wins the Southern 500 for his 200th top-five finish in the Cup Series. Petty wins by more than five laps over David Pearson. Petty puts his stamp on the 69th win of his career, leading 345 of 364 laps. Petty finishes his career in 1992 with 555 top-fives in 1,184 starts.
