1928: Fats Caruso, who started two Cup races in the 1960s, is born on this day. Caruso, of Shrewsbury, Mass., made both of his starts at one-third mile Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, Maine, finishing 16th in 1966 and 23rd in 1967. Fats' given first name was Mario.
