Lap 272 -- CHECKERED FLAG: Jimmie Johnson holds on against a hard-charging Kasey Kahne to win the first green-white-checkered finish in Cup Series racing at Kansas Speedway. Lap 154 -- I swear, if you want your driver to change his fortunes, get me to comment on him. As I hit publish on that, Ryan Newman passed Mike Bliss for 25th. Still not good for a Chaser, so I stand by that.

Lap 153 -- Ryan Newman has not been able to get out of 26th place. He's one place behind Mike Bliss. That's not generally a good sign for a Chase driver.

Lap 152 -- And down goes Marcos Ambrose. Beware, David Ragan ... Jimmie Johnson is on the hunt.
