1964: Ned Jarrett leads all 200 laps of a Cup race on the half-mile dirt track of Savannah (Ga.) Speedway. What is more notable about this race, however, is the starting field -- 12 cars. Richard Petty is second, a lap back, and David Pearson is third, two laps behind Jarrett. Of Jarrett's 50 Cup wins, half come in races with fields of fewer than 20 cars.
