Lap 200 -- CHECKERED FLAG: Sam Hornish Jr. captures the first win of his career in the Nationwide Series. Running a limited schedule, it's just the 12th start of the season. His previous best showing in the division was a fifth last month at Chicagoland.

Lap 195 -- The gap between first place Sam Hornish Jr. and Penske Racing teammate Brad Keselowski remains steady at about seven tenths of a second.

Lap 190 -- Ten laps to go.

Lap 187 -- Sam Hornish Jr.'s lead over Brad Keselowski is about seven tenths of a second.

Lap 181 -- GREEN FLAG: Sam Hornish Jr., Brad Keselowski, Carl Edwards, Joey Logano and Clint Bowyer are the top five. Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Ryan Truex, Justin Allgaier, Trevor Bayne and David Stremme round out the top 10.

Lap 176 -- ESPN reporter Jamie Little just asked Jason Leffler in a rather incredulous tone of voice, "What were you thinking?"

6:03 p.m. ET -- The red flag has been withdrawn and cars are back under way.

5:54 p.m. ET -- The accident has brought out the red flag to allow crews to clean debris from the accident site.

Lap 174 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 7: Jason Leffler tags the rear of Elliott Sadler's car going into Turn 3 as they fight for 10th place. Morgan Shepherd, Jeremy Clements and Aric Almirola are also involved.

Lap 169 -- Clint Bowyer tries to sneak past Joey Logano for fourth place, but is able to take the spot.

Lap 166 -- Carl Edwards tries to dive under Brad Keselowski for second place going into Turn 3, but can't make the move stick.

Lap 165 -- GREEN FLAG: Sam Hornish Jr., Brad Keselowski, Carl Edwards, Joey Logano and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. are the leaders on the restart.

Lap 163 -- Elliott Sadler, Ron Hornaday and others roll down pit road under the caution. Sadler was 12th.

Lap 161 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 6: Morgan Shepherd spins between Turns 3 and 4 and collects Robert Richardson Jr.

Lap 156 -- Sam Hornish Jr. has a lead of about 1.1 seconds over Brad Keselowski.

Lap 152 -- Brad Keselowski goes to the outside of Joey Logano and Carl Edwards for second place as they charge off Turn 4.

Lap 151 -- Carl Edwards and Joey Logano are side by side for second place.

Lap 150 -- GREEN FLAG: Sam Hornish Jr., Joey Logano, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Carl Edwards and Trevor Bayne run first through fifth on the restart.

Lap 144 -- Steve Wallace and James Buescher are involved in a crash on the frontstretch.

Lap 141 -- Joey Logano scoots past Ricky Stenhouse Jr. for third place.

Lap 139 -- Ricky Stenhouse Jr. spins the tires on the restart, which allows Sam Hornish Jr. to jump into the lead.

Lap 139 -- GREEN FLAG: Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Sam Hornish Jr., Brad Keselowski, Joey Logano and Elliott Sadler are the top five.

Lap 134 -- The SAFER barrier needs a bit of repair in Turn 4 where it was struck by Derrike Cope and Mike Bliss.

Lap 131 -- The leaders are on pit road for what could be the final time today. Sam Hornish Jr. and Elliott Sadler take two tires. Aric Almirola's crew misses a lug nut on the right rear tire, and he has to come back in.

Lap 129 -- CAUTION FLAG NO. 4: There's a hard crash coming off Turn 4 involving Derrike Cope and Mike Bliss.

Lap 120 -- Brad Keselowski has cut about a second off Ricky Stenhouse Jr.'s advantage in the last few laps.

Lap 108 -- Ricky Stenhouse Jr. is nearly three seconds ahead of runnerup Brad Keselowski. Elliott Sadler, who entered the race second in the point standings, is shown in 15th place.

Lap 100 -- The race has reached the halfway point. Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Aric Almirola, Brad Keselowski, Joey Logano and Carl Edwards are first through fifth.

Lap 91 -- Clint Bowyer slides high in Turn 1 and loses major ground. He's well out of the top 10 by the time the lap is over.

Lap 91 -- GREEN FLAG: Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Clint Bowyer, Joey Logano, Brad Keselowski and Aric Almirola are first through fifth on the restart.

Lap 86 -- Ricky Stenhouse Jr. hits pit road, and most behind him follow. All take four tires. Carl Edwards loses five spots in the exchange.

Lap 83 -- CAUTION FLAG NO. 3: D.J. Kennington has slammed the wall after an apparent right-front tire problem.

Lap 79 -- Move Carl Edwards into third place.

Lap 72 -- Ricky Stenhouse Jr. has already opened up a cushion of about 1.4 seconds over Aric Almirola.

Lap 67 -- Ricky Stenhouse Jr. finally wrestles the advantage away from Aric Almirola.

Lap 66 -- Ricky Stenhouse Jr. is working hard on Aric Almirola for the lead, but lapped traffic is making it hard to make anything stick.

Lap 64 -- There are a couple of car lengths between each of the first three cars -- Aric Almirola, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Clint Bowyer.

Lap 55 -- Ricky Stenhouse Jr. is closing fast on Clint Bowyer for second place. They're not far behind leader Aric Almirola.

Lap 46 -- Elliott Sadler, running second in the point standings, makes slight contact with Ricky Stenhouse Jr., who leads the chase for the series title. They were fighting over third place.

Lap 44 -- Clint Bowyer grabs second place from Ricky Stenhouse Jr. in the restart scramble.

Lap 44 -- GREEN FLAG: Aric Almirola, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Clint Bowyer, Carl Edwards and Elliott Sadler are first through fifth when the green flag reappears.

Lap 38 -- The leaders are on pit road.

Lap 36 -- CAUTION FLAG NO. 2: Reed Sorenson pops the outside retaining wall. As he climbs out of his car, there's a fairly substantial fire under the hood of his car.

Lap 32 -- Lapped traffic has allowed Clint Bowyer to close on the bumper of Aric Almirola in their battle for the lead.

Lap 28 -- Carl Edwards finds a way back around Justin Allgaier for third place.

Lap 24 -- Justin Allgaier has taken over third place from Carl Edwards.

Lap 18 -- Aric Almirola has a lead of about a half second over Clint Bowyer. It's another second back to third-place Carl Edwards.

Lap 9 -- The outside line is not the place to be today. Aric Almirola shoots into the lead just after the restart. Kenny Wallace scrapes the wall further back in the field, but keeps going.

Lap 9 -- GREEN FLAG: The top five on the restart are Aric Almirola, Carl Edwards, Clint Bowyer, Trevor Bayne and Sam Hornish Jr.

Lap 1 -- CAUTION FLAG NO. 1: There's a multicar wreck between Turns 3 and 4. Involved are Brian Scott, Ron Hornaday, Johnny Chapman, Danica Patrick, Reed Sorenson, Tim Andrews, Jeff Green and Matt Frahm.

Lap 1 -- GREEN FLAG: The race gets under way at 3:55 p.m. ET.

3:52 p.m. ET -- With the repaving of the Phoenix racing surface, there seems to be a lot of concern about how the race is going to pan out. Stay tuned!

3:51 p.m. ET -- The field is on the track for the start of today's pace laps.

3:48 p.m. ET -- The command to fire engines is given by Jerry Simpson, the market development manager for Kimberly-Clark Professional.

3:31 p.m. ET -- The National Anthem is sung by Stealing Angels.

3:41 p.m. ET -- Today's invocation is being said by Phoenix International Raceway Chaplain Ken Bowers.

3:41 p.m. ET -- Today's colors are presented by the Embry-Riddle Army ROTC.

3:39 p.m. ET -- A moment of silence is being observed in honor of Veteran's Day.

2:14 p.m. ET -- Aric Almirola is on the pole for today's race at Phoenix after rounding Phoenix's one-mile layout in 27.086 seconds (an average speed of 132.910 mph). Incredibly, that was just 1/1,000th of a second faster than Carl Edwards, who will start second.

Trevor Bayne, Clint Bowyer and Sam Hornish Jr. are third through fifth, while Elliott Sadler, Justin Allgaier, Ryan Truex, Joey Logano and Brad Keselowski round out the top 10.

Jennifer Jo Cobb, Carl Long, Josh Wise and Daryl Harr failed to qualify for the race.
