Lap 150 -- CHECKERED FLAG: Amazing. Joey Logano scores an eighth-straight Nationwide Series victory for Joe Gibbs Racing at Auto Club Speedway. His teammate, Brian Scott, fakes fourth place.

Lap 147 -- Ricky Stenhouse Jr. has a lead of a few car lengths over Brad Keselowski for second place.

Lap 145 -- Five laps to go, and Joey Logano continues to build on his cushion.

Lap 143 -- The scrum for second has allowed Joey Logano to ease out to a lead of more than 9/10ths of a second.

Lap 142 -- Brad Keselowski takes a shot at Ricky Stenhouse Jr. for second place between Turns 1 and 2, but has to back out without the position.

Lap 141 -- Ricky Stenhouse Jr. goes the high side of Brad Keselowski for second place.

Lap 139 -- Joey Logano and Brad Keselowski are running first and second. Behind them, all heck is still breaking loose.

Lap 138 -- GREEN FLAG: Trevor Bayne, Elliott Sadler and Sam Hornish Jr. took just two tires on the stop and are the leaders. Joey Logano, the leader before the caution, is fourth.

There's a scramble of near biblical proportions going into Turn 1. Logano comes out of the fray with the lead.

Lap 133 -- Here come the leaders down pit road. The race will be settled on the track and not by the fuel supply of the leaders. Kyle Busch's crew has a problem on the stop. Trevor Bayne makes it out of the pits with the lead.

Lap 132 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 4: Blake Koch spins off Turn 4, just in front of second-place Brad Keselowski.

Lap 130 -- Kyle Busch has lost ground on the lead two cars of Joey Logano and Brad Keselowski. There are 20 laps remaining.

Lap 128 -- This is a wild race for the win as Joey Logano moves around Brad Keselowski for the lead.

Lap 127 -- Joey Logano makes the move around Kyle Busch for second place.

Lap 126 -- Kyle Busch goes past Brad Keselowski in Turn 2, but can't make the move stick. Joey Logano gives Busch a huge push into Turn 3.

Lap 124 -- Brad Keselowski clears Kyle Busch for the race lead.

Lap 123 -- Brad Keselowski gets a huge run on Kyle Busch going into Turn 3, and they go side by side off the next turn.

Lap 121 -- Kyle Busch has five wins in his last six Nationwide Series starts at Auto Club Speedway. The other finish was a 31st, so it's either go or blow for ol' Rowdy.

Lap 120 -- With 30 laps to go, crew chiefs up and down pit road are tellling their drivers to save fuel.

Lap 116 -- The tussle over second isn't over. They're just reloading!

Lap 114 -- Brad Keselowski has moved into second place, with Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Joey Logano fighting it out for third.

Lap 113 -- Joey Logano, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Brad Keselowski ... just throw a blanket over them for second place!

Lap 111 -- Kyle Busch clears Joey Logano for the top spot, and as he does so, Justin Allgaier slows on the apron with a blown engine.

Lap 110 -- Kyle Busch goes under Joey Logano in turn 3 for the lead.

Lap 108 -- GREEN FLAG: Joey Logano and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. lead the field to the restart. Logano easily clear for the lead. Behind him coming off Turn 4, cars scatter five wide.

Lap 105 -- The leaders drop onto pit road. Most take just fuel. Third-place Kyle Busch takes two tires. If teams are able to make it the rest of the way without stopping, it's going to be close.

Lap 104 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 3: Debris is being reported in Turn 4. It's not there any more, because somebody just hit it.

Lap 102 -- Joey Logano slams his car to the bottom of the track in Turns 3 and 4 to retake the lead from Ricky Stenhouse Jr.

Lap 101 -- Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Kyle Busch and Joey Logano go three wide for the lead into Turn 3.

Lap 100 -- The battle between Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Kyle Busch for third is still tight, and they somehow manage to get around Brendan Gaughan for second place.

Lap 98 -- Brendan Gaughan has taken over second place, and Kyle Busch and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. are going after each other for fourth place.

Lap 97 -- GREEN FLAG: Joey Logano and Justin Allgaier are the top two on the restart. Logano clears easily for the lead.

Lap 93 -- The leaders are on pit road. They won't be able to make it the rest of the race without stopping. Right? Again, Brad Keselowski loses serious ground after his stop, this time five spots.

Lap 92 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 2: Sam Hornish Jr. spins off Turn 4.

Lap 91 -- Trash is being reported on the grille of Kyle Busch's car. He's now shown in seventh place.

Lap 88 -- Danica Patrick is officially out of the race with engine failure.

Lap 85 -- The showdown up front has settled down. Joey Logano has moved out to a lead of about 9/10ths of a second.

Lap 84 -- Yep. You guessed it. Joe Gibbs Racing has won seven straight races here ... and Joey Logano is, of course, in a Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota.

Lap 82 -- Joey Logano is running the high line through the turns, and Justin Allgaier the low.

Lap 80 -- Justin Allgaier is following in Joey Logano's tire tracks, just inches behind.

Lap 78 -- Justin Allgaier wiggles as he splits the lapped car of Mike Wallace and leader Joey Logano coming off Turn 4. It costs him some momentum in his move for the lead, and he drops back for the time being.

Lap 75 -- The race has reached the halfway point.

Lap 74 -- Ricky Stenhouse Jr. appears to have lost a car length or two on second-place Justin Allggaier.

Lap 72 -- Kyle Busch is running -- if it's possible for him -- a very quiet fifth place.

Lap 70 -- Joey Logano reclaims the lead with a great backstretch run on Justin Allgaier. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. is still right there in third place.

Lap 69 -- Justin Allgaier clears Joey Logano for the point.

Lap 68 -- Justin Allgaier gets a great run on the backstretch, and not only goes by Ricky Stenhouse Jr. for second, but immediately proceeds after Joey Logano for the lead coming off Turn 4.

Lap 66 -- Danica Patrick is being pushed to the garage. Meanwhile, on the track, Elliott Sadler has dropped to fourth place behind Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Justin Allgaier.

Lap 65 -- Joey Logano scoots under Elliott Sadler for second place coming off the second turn. Danica Patrick is on pit road with the hood on her Chevrolet up.

Lap 63 -- GREEN FLAG: Joey Logano, Elliott Sadler, Brian Scott, Justin Allgaier and Austin Dillon are the top five. Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Kyle Busch, Brendan Gaughan, Brad Keselowski and Trevor Bayne make up the rest of the top 10.

Keselowski gets caught up in a three-wide battle two rows deep going into Turn 1. Sadler clears for the lead in the next corner.

Lap 58 -- The leaders roll down pit lane. Brad Keselowski comes in very close to pit wall, slowing the progress of his crew coming around to the left side during the stop. He loses eight spots on the stop.

Lap 57 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 1: There's a piece of debris on the backstretch. It looks to be a piece of rollbar padding. Hmmmmmm ...

Lap 55 -- Justin Allgaier has never scored a top-five finish at Auto Club Speedway. He's currently running in third place, 6.5 seconds behind leader Brad Keselowski.

Lap 54 -- The gap between first place and second is about 4.8 seconds.

Lap 52 -- Sam Hornish Jr. and Austin Dillon are having a nice little contest for sixth place.

Lap 50 -- Running fourth right now, Brian Scott has one top-10 finish in four previous starts here at Auto Club Speedway.

Lap 47 -- Brad Keselowski has never won here, but he's currently riding a four-race streak that includes three top-five finishes and one top 10.

Lap 43 -- The top-five drivers after the stops are Brad Keselowski, Joey Logano, Justin Allgaier, Brian Scott and Elliott Sadler.

Lap 41 -- Brad Keselowski's advantage over second-place Joey Logano is now about 5.8 seconds.

Lap 39 -- After the cycle of stops, Brad Keselowski goes right back to the top of the leaderboard.

Lap 38 -- Kenny Wallace brings his Toyota into his pit stall for four tires and fuel.

Lap 37 -- Brad Keselowski, Kyle Busch and Joey Logano hit the pits.

Lap 36 -- Justin Allgaier and Brian Scott are on pit road.

Lap 35 -- Trevor Bayne, Austin Dillon, Danica Patrick and others are making their stops.

Lap 34 -- Elliott Sadler gives up fifth place to pit.

Lap 33 -- Brian Scott is now running fourth. Sam Hornish Jr. pits early, opening up a round of green-flag stops.

Lap 30 -- Brad Keselowski has opened up a lead of about 8/10ths of a second over Joey Logano.

Lap 28 -- Joey Logano is now working the high line, with Brad Keselowski in the low groove. Justin Allgaier is right behind them, keeping things interesting up front.

Lap 27 -- Brad Keselowski finally grabs the lead in Turn 4.

Lap 26 -- Same story, next lap. Brad Keselowski is still going after the top spot very hard, but Joey Logano keeps the spot for the time being.

Lap 25 -- Joey Logano clears Brad Keselowski on the backstretch, but Keselowski comes right back after him in the next corners.

Lap 24 -- Brad Keselowski dives to the inside of Joey Logano for the lead between Turns 3 and 4.

Lap 23 -- Joey Logano isn't going to be the leader much longer if Brad Keselowski keeps coming as hard as he is right now.

Lap 20 -- Brad Keselowski has went around Justin Allgaier for second place.

Lap 18 -- Joey Logano is approaching some lapped traffic. Let's see if that allows Justin Allgaier to close ground.

Lap 17 -- Kyle Busch is now up to 14th place, nearly 11 seconds behind leader Joey Logano.

Lap 15 -- There's a report that runnerup Justin Allgaier's car is very tight in the corners.

Lap 13 -- Justin Allgaier has a mirror full of Brad Keselowski again in their battle for second place.

Lap 9 -- Brad Keselowski has dropped off Justin Allgaier's rear bumper by about half a second. Fourth-place Elliott Sadler is another 1.8 seconds or so behind Keselowski.

Lap 8 -- Kyle Busch has gained 23 positions since the start of the race, all the way up to 18th place.

Lap 7 -- Joey Logano hasn't been able to shake Justin Allgaier and Brad Keselowski. They're still trailing right in his wake.

Lap 4 -- Justin Allgaier isn't going to give up the runnerup spot very easily. He jumps back down in front of Brad Keselowski coming off the second corner.

Lap 3 -- Brad Keselowski jumps under Justin Allgaier for second place coming off Turn 4.

Lap 2 -- The top three cars -- Joey Logano, Justin Allgaier and Brad Keselowski -- have broken away from the rest of the field a little bit.

Lap 1 -- GREEN FLAG: The green flag drops at 5:49 p.m. ET.

Joey Logano sweeps clear of Justin Allgaier to take the lead going into Turn 1.

5:49 p.m. ET -- Kyle Busch will go to the rear of the field for missing driver introductions.

5:43 p.m. ET -- Car are on the track. Let's go racing!

5:39 p.m. ET -- Olympic track legend Bruce Jenner gives the command to fire engines.

5:34 p.m. ET -- Two F-18 Hornets from the Air Test and Evaluation Squadron 9 in China Lake California do the fly-over. That would work ... bucket list!

5:33 p.m. ET -- Shelea Frazier is singing the national anthem.

5:32 p.m. ET -- Jeff Hamilton of Motor Racing Outreach gives the invocation.

5:02 p.m. ET -- Joe Gibbs Racing drivers have won the last seven Nationwide Series races at Auto Club Speedway. The streak goes back to Tony Stewart's victory in February 2008, and also includes five wins by Kyle Busch and one by Joey Logano, today's pole sitter.

4:55 p.m. ET -- Driver introductions should be starting in about five minutes.

3:38 p.m. ET -- Joey Logano is on the pole for the second week in a row after turning in a lap of 178.984 mph during time trials. It's his third pole position in seven races at Auto Club Speedway, and first since the spring of 2010.

Justin Allgaier, Brad Keselowski, Austin Dillon and Elliott Sadler start second through fifth. Kenny Wallace, Brian Scott, Brendan Gaughan, Trevor Bayne and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. round out the top 10.

2:10 p.m. ET -- Qualifying for Saturday's Royal Purple 300 is currently under way. The green flag is set for 5:47 p.m. ET.
