Red Horse suspends No. 7 due to lack of funding

MOORESVILLE, N.C. -- Red Horse Racing announced Tuesday the team will suspend operations of the No. 7 Camping World Truck Series team driven by rookie of the year contender John King effective immediately.

Due to lack of sponsorship funding, the No. 7 will be cutting back its program until further notice. The organization will continue to operate the No. 17 entry driven by Timothy Peters and the No. 11 entry driven by Todd Bodine.

King vaulted into the spotlight in the season's first race by winning the NextEra Energy Resources 250 at Daytona International Speedway. He backed up his victory with a ninth-place finish at Martinsville, but has two DNFs at Rockingham and Charlotte sandwiching a 13th-place effort at Kansas.

King raced in seven Truck events before this season, with a best finish of 15th at Bristol in 2010.
