After spending the past six weeks recovering from a violent, late-race accident at Talladega on May 5, Eric McClure will return to the race track driving the No. 14 TriStar Motorsports Toyota in the Sargento 200 at Road America.

McClure missed five Nationwide races while recovering from a concussion and internal bleeding suffered in the accident. In those five races, Jeff Green took the wheel of the No. 14 and scored three top-20s.

"I'm very excited and thankful to have the opportunity to return to racing the No. 14 Toyota," McClure said in a statement. "The support of everyone, especially the fans, the past few weeks has been overwhelming.

"I want to say a special thanks to TriStar Motorsports, Jeff Green, and Kevin Lepage for their efforts and support during my absence. I look forward to getting back, having some fun, and getting some positive results."

McClure suffered the injuries during a green-white-checkered finish at Talladega when his No. 14 slammed into the inside SAFER barrier during a nine-car crash. Emergency crews had to cut the roof off of McClure's car before removing the driver and airlifting him to the University of Alabama-Birmingham Medical Center, where he remained from Saturday until Monday.
