DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- NASCAR has announced the creation of NASCAR Classics, which will embody the roots and heritage of the sport through high-end T-shirts, hats and original diecasts. The throwback brand not only encapsulates NASCAR's history but also represents today's values. It provides a rich and extensive portfolio of textures and logos that bridges the eras. "NASCAR Classics is a callback to an era of unbreakable men, fast cars, and the guts, glory and go-for-broke attitude many of NASCAR's classic drivers embodied," said Blake Davidson, vice president licensing and consumer products. "We believe both NASCAR fans and non-fans will enjoy this great new line of vintage products that captures the spirit and flavor of NASCAR through the decades." Products include T-shirts and hats produced by Delta Apparel. They feature iconic imagery and fonts from the 1940s, '50s, '60s and '70s. The collection's apparel line includes logos and program covers from historic venues such as Daytona, Darlington, North Carolina Speedway and Talladega. NASCAR Classics also features historic diecast cars from Lionel NASCAR Collectables. Drivers whose cars are included in the collection are Dale Earnhardt, Junior Johnson, Richard Petty, Tim Flock and Ned Jarrett, among others. NASCAR Classics apparel and diecasts are available at launch, with plans to expand with other vintage equities, including historical drivers, sponsors and tracks. NASCAR Classics apparel is available at the NASCAR.COM Superstore and Americrown haulers during Sprint Cup Series race weekends. NASCAR Classics diecasts are available at the NASCAR.COM Superstore. NASCAR Classics will expand to other retail locations later in the year.
