Josh Wise announced Tuesday that he is leaving Front Row Motorsports.

Wise, who made the move public via his Twitter account, ran 65 races for the team in the past two seasons. His best finish, 19th, came in the 2013 spring race at Talladega Superspeedway.

The Front Row team, owned by Bob Jenkins and based in Statesville, N.C., landed its only Sprint Cup victory that May day in Alabama, with David Ragan and David Gilliland finishing 1-2 in the Aaron's 499.

Front Row confirmed Wise's decision to leave the team on its Facebook page, stating: "Josh has accepted an offer to drive for another team in 2014, and we absolutely wish him the best in that new role. He's been a good team member and we've appreciated his contributions over the past two seasons. We do plan to continue running the No. 35 car in 2014, although the program for that car is still in development. It is our expectation to use more than one driver in that role, and we are currently looking at driver candidates and potential partners to help fund and finalize that program. We'll keep you posted as it comes together and expect to have some announcements soon."

In two posts on Twitter, Wise said he was leaving the organization after two seasons and that he would declare his 2014 plans soon.

Front Row Motorsports announced in October it was bringing back Ragan and Gilliland in 2014.

Wise has also run 125 NASCAR Nationwide Series races over the past seven seasons. In the previous two years, he drove 48 Nationwide races for The Motorsports Group, under ownership by Curtis Key. Wise has two career top-five finishes in the Nationwide Series.
