The couple found out the sex of their baby at the same time as their guests during a baby shower Tuesday night in the Charlotte area.
Sweet posted "It's a boy" on her Twitter account later in the evening along with photos from the shower showing her and Larson -- dressed in a blue shirt and pink shorts -- holding up a sign with the news.

There was also a photo of a chalkboard in the background that was part of the unique way they revealed the baby's sex. Sweet had her doctor seal the information in an envelope then had cupcakes made with various blue and pink filling for guests at the shower. They kept a tally of how many cupcakes of each color and the one with the most was the sex of the baby.
"Exciting day for us,'' Larson said on his Twitter account. "Ready to go go kart racing again!"
