Minute-by-Minute blog: Rain postpones Kentucky
Quaker State 400 postponed due to rain; will take place at noon ET on Sunday

9:11 p.m. ET: Some helpful information from NASCAR.com's David Caraviello for those who were at the track today.

9:07 p.m. ET: Well, it's official. The Quaker State 400 has been postponed until tomorrow at noon ET. It will air on TNT. We'll be back then with updates.

8:59 p.m. ET: Our Kenny Bruce is a funny one!

8:50 p.m. ET: All those rain dances don't appear to be working.

8:44 p.m. ET: Still in a rain delay until we hear otherwise.

8:40 p.m. ET: The rain is back at Kentucky Speedway.

8:37 p.m. ET: A little bit of clear sky coming through.

8:26 p.m. ET: Here's what NASCAR officials are facing right now.

8:22 p.m. ET: Track dryers aren't making much progress.

8:11 p.m. ET: What a great idea!

8:05 p.m. ET: That's reason enough to tune in to TNT's live coverage, happening now.

8:00 p.m. ET: This is certainly a good way to pass the time.

7:57 p.m. ET: Driver introductions are getting started started; track dryers are still working their magic. Lots of umbrellas out, though.

7:49 p.m. ET: Rain, rain everywhere, it seems.

7:40 p.m. ET: Driver intros have been rescheduled for 7:50 p.m. ET.

7:36 p.m. ET: Hopefully not for much longer.

7:21 p.m. ET: Track drying will have to start over when the rain stops.

7:17 p.m. ET: The rain is playing tricks today. Driver intros postponed again as the weather takes a bad turn just as they were about to start.

7:14 p.m. ET: As drivers head to the stage for driver intros, rain is falling again.

7:07 p.m. ET: If the rain stays away, driver intros could happen soon.

7:04 p.m. ET: Too cute.

6:56 p.m. ET: Clouds making their way back to the track. Rain clouds? Sure hope not, but doesn't look promising.

6:49 p.m. ET: Would guess a horse with a checkered-flag mane...

6:45 p.m. ET: Driver intros will not begin at 6:50 p.m. ET. Track dryers still working hard.

6:23 p.m. ET: Track dryers are making the rounds now.

6:14 p.m. ET: Second that thumbs-down.

6:09 p.m. ET: Now that's a pretty impressive memory.

6:05 p.m. ET: Who wouldn't want a pace car ride with this guy?

6:02 p.m. ET: Seems like the weather is causing panic in the No. 5 hauler.

5:58 p.m. ET: Rain delay + hungry journalists could make this a dangerous situation for him.

5:53 p.m. ET: Certainly doesn't look promising...

5:49 p.m. ET: Another rain change: a competition caution will take place on Lap 30.

5:41 p.m. ET: As rain continues to fall over the speedway, some weather-related info. Green flag time has been pushed up to 7:41 p.m. ET. Should the race be postponed, it will start or restart tomorrow (Sunday) at noon ET.

5:30 p.m. ET: They've even got matching belt buckles!

5:23 p.m. ET: Storms are back in the area. Small, strong thunderstorms are popping up across the area.

5:08 p.m. ET: Thanks for joining us today for the Quaker State 400. We're keeping an eye on the weather... as is the rest of the NASCAR community.
