I definitely became more involved once Kevin Harvick and I started working together. The last several years, watching how well he's done, has been incredible. To have the changes he did, not just in racing but in life, to go out and win the championship and join a new team and really start his own company when he had a new baby -- he's done so much stuff and has been so successful. Champion crew chief, wife introduce Cate Susan Evernham

Ray Evernham, a three-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion as a crew chief with Jeff Gordon and Hendrick Motorsports, and wife Erin welcomed a baby girl to the world on Saturday. Cate Susan Evernham was born Saturday morning and appropriately enough on a big weekend for the sport as Gordon makes his final appearance as a full-time driver at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
