Champion crew chief, wife introduce Cate Susan Evernham

Ray Evernham, a three-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion as a crew chief with Jeff Gordon and Hendrick Motorsports, and wife Erin welcomed a baby girl to the world on Saturday. Cate Susan Evernham was born Saturday morning and appropriately enough on a big weekend for the sport as Gordon makes his final appearance as a full-time driver at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. But for today at least the big news was off the track for the Evernham family.
