NASCAR Sprint Cup Series star Carl Edwards has always been known as a go-to symbol of physical fitness in the sport, as he recently guest-starred on an episode of "The Biggest Loser" and even pulled his No. 99 Subway Fresh Fit Ford Fusion into Victory Lane at last year's -- you guessed it -- Subway Fresh Fit 500 at Phoenix International Raceway.
The NASCAR veteran took to Bristol Motor Speedway on Tuesday for a fun event entitled the "Bristol Combine," which gave the Roush Fenway Racing driver a chance to test his athleticism and fitness mettle in a workout designed to test collegiate athletes hoping to make it big in professional sports.
Edwards was joined by BMS general manager Jerry Caldwell and BMS senior account executive Graig Hoffman, who was a football star at the University of Louisville. The trio went through a warmup and then got some fundamental football instructions from East Tennesee State University coaches.
Judging from the look of things, Edwards did just fine.
