No. 88 Chevrolet flamed out in early laps of Duck Commander 500
Earlier this month, when Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s No. 88 National Guard Chevrolet bit the dust at Texas Motor Speedway after erupting into a flaming cannonball of doom, we all figured it might end up in Junior's famed backyard graveyard at his estate in Mooresville, N.C.
We were right.
Earnhardt tweeted out a picture of his wrecked car on Tuesday, showing major damage to the rear end and sides of his Hendrick Motorsports ride, with wheels removed and everything.
The points leader heading into the race, Earnhardt completed just 12 laps before the incident which relegated him to a 43rd-place finish.
