Dale Jr. takes ALS Ice Bucket Challenge at Michigan
Gets wet for Redskins and challenges Hendrick Motorsports teammates

Following fellow Chevrolet NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver, Kevin Harvick, who recently took the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, Dale Earnhardt Jr. accepted a challenge from players on his favorite NFL team, the Washington Redskins, and dumped a bucket of ice over his head on Friday at Michigan International Speedway.

Washington linebacker Ryan Kerrigan and wide receiver Pierre Garcon took an ice bath after a preseason practice and threw down the gauntlet to Earnhardt to douse himself within 24 hours.

The 12-time Most Popular Driver obliged and passed on the challenge to Hendrick Motorsports teammate Jimmie Johnson and No. 88 crew chief Steve Letarte as well as Garcon and Kerrigan's boss, Washington owner Daniel Snyder.

See Earnhardt get dunked below, and stay tuned for more showers in the Irish Hills this weekend.

UPDATE: Johnson elected to pass on taking the dunk, but will instead write out a check.
