Rucker, Kuechly added to All-Star Race lineup

Country star to sing national anthem, NFL star to be honorary pace car driver

Country star Darius Rucker and NFL star Luke Kuechly are the latest stars to join the Sprint All-Star Race weekend festivities at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Rucker, an avid sports fan, will perform the national anthem prior to the Sprint All-Star Race on May 17. In addition to his success as a country artist, Rucker is also known for being the front man with the popular group Hootie & The Blowfish. He has also won Grammy Awards with Hootie & The Blowfish as well as a Grammy Award as a solo artist.

Kuechly will drive the official Toyota Camry pace car as the honorary pace car driver for the race.

In his first two NFL seasons, Kuechly has been the Carolina Panthers' leading tackler. In addition, he was the 2012 Associated Press Defensive Rookie of the Year and the 2013 Associated Press Defensive Player of the Year.

Jake Owen and Train will both perform before the All-Star Race on May 17.
