Film on disabled Hendrick worker gets sports Emmy
Richie Parker an inspiration to all; film displaying strength picks up Sports Emmy

A pair of NASCAR-related productions picked up awards at the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences 35th Annual Sports Emmy Awards on Tuesday in New York.

The heart-tugging ESPN "SportsCenter Featured" piece titled "Richie Parker: Drive," profiling the armless chassis and body designer for Hendrick Motorsports and narrated by Tom Rinaldi, picked up the award for Outstanding Short Feature. It was one of seven awards for ESPN this year, marking the 16th Sports Emmy for SportsCenter and the 21st for ESPN in a Features category.

NASCAR on FOX was also honored, repeating as the award winner for Outstanding Technical Team Remote.
