But taking Gordon and adding free Krispy Kreme doughnuts emblazoned with his No. 24 on them? Well, that just takes it to a whole new level.
Gordon met with fans at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on Wednesday to promote the upcoming Auto Club 400 at Auto Club Speedway (March 23, 3 p.m. ET, FOX) in Fontana, Calif. The four-time Cup champion joined speedway president Gillian Zucker and L.A. Council District 4 councilman Tom LaBonge for the event -- which gave out the glorious doughnuts to those in attendance -- for "Speedway Day L.A."

Gordon also met Barbara Yocum, the recipient of a wish granted by Wish of a Lifetime and a Gordon fan. The organization is a nonprofit that grants wishes to senior citizens and worked with Brookdale Senior Living to make Yocum's dream come true.
We don't have the full story on this picture, but it looks like cancer survivor Jonathan Sugianto was also in attendance and re-connected with Gordon after meeting him as a child with the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Gordon and Zucker later stopped by Centinela Elementary School in Inglewood, Calif., to promote Lefty's Reading Challenge, a youth promotion the track runs, and unveil the speedway's new interactive ebook / storybook app, Lefty & The Radtastic Road Rally.
