Couple's first child, Harper Grace, born early Thursday morning
Justin Allgaier wears many hats. He is a racer. He is a teammate. He is a husband.
And now, he is a father.
Justin's wife, Ashley, gave birth to the couple's first child, a girl, early Thursday morning.
The vitals, according to a Twitter post from Justin: Harper Grace Allgaier weighed 5 pounds, 11 ounces, and was 18.5 inches long.
Ashley Allgaier tweeted that Harper Grace was born at 7:18 a.m., and that both mother and baby are doing well.
Perhaps Justin had a father's intuition that today might be the big day. At 6:01 a.m. Thursday, he tweeted "Good morning twitter!! Hope everyone has an awesome day!!!!"
The Allgaiers are surely having an awesome day.
Last week at Iowa, Allgaier spoke with NASCAR.com about his season so far, and his excitement for this weekend's race at Watkins Glen.
The Turner Scott Motorsports driver, according to the team, will compete in all on-track activities this weekend.
