Movie paint schemes often visit Victory Lane
Jeff Gordon, Kasey Kahne, Dale Earnhardt Jr. among those to benefit from movie magic

Dale Earnhardt Jr. won last June at Michigan International Speedway in a Batman "Dark Knight Rises" car. He returns to the Irish Hills in a Superman "Man of Steel" car and hopes his luck will continue in Sunday's Quicken Loans 400.

Over the last 15 years, several movie paint schemes have found their way to Victory Lane in NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races as you'll see below. Jeff Gordon won the 1997 NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race in the Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet known as “T-Rex,” supporting “Jurassic Park: The Ride” in honor of the movie.

Robby Gordon wins at Sonoma Raceway in 2003 in support of “Charlie Angels: Full Throttle.”

The force was with Jeff Gordon in May 2005 at Talladega Superspeedway as he drove a “Star Wars” paint scheme to Victory Lane.

Kasey Kahne drove his “Click” paint scheme to Victory Lane at Michigan in 2006.

Kyle Busch drove the Indiana Jones M&Ms paint scheme to Darlington Raceway’s Victory Lane in 2008.

Jimmie Johnson wore a fire suit that promoted the movie “Madagascar 3” in the June 3, 2012, race at Dover -- which Johnson won.

When Dale Earnhardt Jr. ended his winless streak last year at Michigan, he did so while promoting ‘The Dark Knight Rises.’
