Luke Bryan Daytona 500 trophy

Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year to perform several hits on pit road

Before the 56th annual Daytona 500, Luke Bryan will join a list of past Daytona 500 pre-race performers that includes Bon Jovi, Keith Urban, Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley and the Zac Brown Band.

The reigning Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year will sing several of his hit songs on pit road at the "World Center of Racing" as part of the Daytona 500 Budweiser Pre-Race Show. "The Great American Race" will be held at Daytona International Speedway on Sunday, Feb. 23 (1 p.m. -- FOX, FOX Deportes, MRN Radio and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio).

"We're thrilled to have a talented artist such as Luke Bryan perform prior to the start of the Daytona 500," Daytona International Speedway President Joie Chitwood III said. "We're expecting Luke to put on an exhilarating show that will energize our race fans as we kick off the new NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season."

Bryan's recently released fourth studio album "Crash My Party" has produced hit singles such as "Crash My Party," "Drink a Beer" and "That’s My Kind of Night" and has sold over one million copies. In 2013, Bryan was named Academy of Country Music Awards' Entertainer of the Year and earned American Music Awards Favorite Country Male Artist.

It's not Bryan's first trip to a track. He kicked off the 2012 Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup at Chicagoland Speedway with the national anthem. Last August, he rode on the hood of Brad Keselowski's No. 2 Miller Lite Ford at Michigan International Speedway. Check out the Luke Bryan "Crash My Party" diecast at the NASCAR Superstore here.
