Bowyer rings the Warning Siren at 'Canes NHL game

Sprint Cup Series star joined Martinsville Speedway to promote STP 500 at NHL game

Clint Bowyer attended another professional hockey game, but at least this time he didn't end up sliding head-first across the ice into over-sized bowling pins.

As you may recall, Bowyer, Joey Logano and Ryan Newman were recently on hand at a Charlotte Checkers game to play a rousing game of human bowling, but Bowyer attended Tuesday night's Carolina Hurricanes' 3-1 victory over the New York Rangers to meet some fans, ring the Warning Siren to bring the 'Canes out onto the ice and to promote this month's Sprint Cup Series race at Martinsville Speedway.

A Martinsville win still eludes Bowyer, but he's earned three top-five finishes at the short track in his last three attempts. Naturally, he probably jumped at the opportunity to promote one of his better chances to lock up a win and a spot in the Chase for the Sprint Cup when the cars roll off for the STP 500 (March 30, 1 p.m. ET, FOX).
