After the Seattle Seahawks trounced the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII to a tune of 43-8, there was one moment we were all waiting for. It's finally come.
Ladies and gentlemen, feast your eyes on Kyle Busch in Seahawks gear.
Almost to Daytona... Ready to get after it!! Who's w me?! pic.twitter.com/67tWQkaBW8— Kyle Busch (@KyleBusch) February 12, 2014
As we learned a few weeks ago, Busch, a diehard Broncos fan, and fellow NASCAR Sprint Cup Series star Kasey Kahne, a Washington native and avid Seahawks follower, made a bet for America's biggest game that hinged on which team won. If Seattle ended up the victor, Busch would have to show up at Daytona for Speedweeks decked out in Seahawks gear. If Denver won, Kahne would sport Broncos apparel.
Speaking to NASCAR.com's Alan Cavanna on Thursday during part of Daytona's Media Day, Busch -- who was in his Joe Gibbs Racing M&M's fire suit at the time -- said that the Broncos "sent their high school team" to play, leading to such a lopsided result.
When he's not contractually obligated to wear his sponsorship gear, however, Busch promised that he will be spotted wearing his other mandated wardrobe in his Seattle get-up.
You've got to hand it to Busch, though. The bet was made over Twitter so he couldn't back down from it, and he sure delivered.
Stay tuned for more pictures of the driver of the No. 18 Toyota in Seattle gear throughout Speedweeks.
