Thanksgiving is a time of year to sit down and give thanks with family and friends for the blessings in life while sharing a grand meal with each other. Several NASCAR drivers and their families marked the day in different ways.
Kasey Kahne took in the South Park Turkey Trot in Charlotte and tweeted a photo from the event.

Jimmie Johnson took part in a Thanksgiving Day run in Tulsa.
Johnson was also among the NASCAR national series drivers who talked about their favorite Thanksgiving food with The Whistle.
Perhaps, no NASCAR driver had more to celebrate than Aric Almirola, who welcomed his second child into the world on Thanksgiving.
Today my lil buddy Alex has become a big brother to Abby Lynn Almirola. Im a very lucky dad and husband! Mom n baby are great. HappyThxgivin— Aric Almirola (@aric_almirola) November 28, 2013
For Ricky Stenhouse Jr., he spent Thanksgiving night watching his beloved Ole Miss Rebels take on in-state and SEC rival Mississippi State in the annual Egg Bowl. Unfortunately for Stenhouse, Ole Miss lost the game in overtime, 17-10.
And while Ricky expected his girlfriend Danica Patrick to be playing the popular game, Candy Crash, she was up to something else.
@StenhouseJr well, I am out of lives and too lazy to reset my time, so I am also Pinteresting and tweeting!— Danica Patrick (@DanicaPatrick) November 29, 2013
And earlier in the day, Danica was busy winning at a different game.

Kurt Busch spent some of his day in the kitchen, helping girlfriend Patricia Driscoll and her son Houston, prepare Thanksgiving dinner.

Busch later spent some time helping Houston work on his boxing skills.

Michigan native Brad Keselowski spent part of the holiday watching the Detroit Lions play. But he seemed to be more of a good luck charm when he stopped watching. Detroit defeated Green Bay, 40-10.
Getting thanksgiving texts from people you haven't talked to in years is funny to me. Hope everybody had a good day.— Ryan Blaney (@RyanBlaney22) November 29, 2013
Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s crew chief, Steve Letarte, doesn't seem to be a fan of putting Christmas decorations up right after Thanksgiving.
One day into the Christmas season. It's official. I don't like Christmas time. Baaa Humbug. Christmas decorations being put up 👎👎— Steve Letarte (@SteveLetarte) November 29, 2013
Ron Hornaday Jr. hit the road on Black Friday, driving to Havsau 95 Speedway in Arizona. He tweeted a picture from his drive.

And on Black Friday, seeing a cargo ship go by made David Ragan think of something that has yet to arrive. Perhaps, it will reach him in time for Christmas.
Sitting here in Charleston and see a big cargo ship go by. Maybe the Talladega Win die-cast are on that boat. Win was May- still not here!

Kyle Busch and his wife Samantha even took to Instagram to send Thanksgiving well wishes to their followers through video.
