Rusty Wallace, fellow NASCAR Hall of Famer and ESPN analyst Dale Jarrett, two-time Daytona 500 champion Michael Waltrip, NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Denny Hamlin, NASCAR Nationwide Series driver Brendan Gaughan and more will take part in the inaugural Rusty Wallace Golf Classic on May 19 at Trump National Golf Club in Charlotte.
The tournament will benefit The NASCAR Foundation and its mission to help children live, learn and play inside and outside the classroom. In addition to NASCAR personalties, NFL Pro Bowlers Sterling Sharpe and Harold Green and two-time RE/MAX World Long Drive Champion Jamie Sadlowski are scheduled to participate.
"It's going to be a lot of fun; I love playing golf," Wallace said. "More than just fun though, this is a great way to support a worthy cause in The NASCAR Foundation. I serve on the foundation's board, so I'm fortunate enough to see all of the great things they do to help children.
"I really want to thank all of the celebrities who are participating to support The NASCAR Foundation. We're close to naming several more big names that are going to make this event even better yet. There are a lot of great companies that have come on board to support us as well."
Each foursome will be paired with a celebrity in the event. A limited number of opportunities remain to sponsor and/or play in this exclusive event. For more information, or to secure your spot, please visit http://www.rustywallacegolfclassic.com.
"A fun day of golf with some great people, one of the most picturesque courses in North Carolina and supporting the kids," Wallace said. "It doesn't get much better than that. I hope we can get a lot of folks on board and raise a lot of money for The NASCAR Foundation."
