March 20, 2014, Staff report, NASCAR.com

Bode Miller holds the most Winter Olympic medals over any U.S. skier

U.S. Olympic Medalist skier Bode Miller and wife, AVP pro beach volleyball player, Morgan have been named honorary starters for Sunday's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Auto Club 400 at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, Calif.

The couple will have the privilege of waving the green flag to get the race underway.

Bode Miller earned a bronze medal in the Olympic Super-G competition in the recent Winter Olympics. Considered one of the greatest World Cup racers of all time, Miller boasts 33 victories and six medals in the Winter Olympics -- the most of an U.S. skier.

Bode's wife Morgan Miller is a professional beach volleyball player and model. Miller plays for Association of Volleyball Professionals and in 2010 she was featured in a Nike ad campaign.

The Auto Club 400 will get underway at 3 p.m. ET on Sunday and will be broadcasted on FOX.
