NASCAR Sprint Cup Series teams from Chip Ganassi Racing, Michael Waltrip Racing, Richard Petty Motorsports, Roush Fenway Racing and Stewart-Haas Racing planned to test today and tomorrow at Chicagoland Speedway, home of the first race in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup.

Mother Nature had other ideas in the afternoon as a Midwest toad strangler crossed the plains. Drivers took to social media to tell the story of the storm that saw dark clouds, lightning and freaky fast rain over the Joliet, Illinois facility.

Check out images and video shared by Kevin Harvick, including a power outage in the garage, and Ricky Stenhouse Jr's crew chief, Mike Kelley, who hopes that some more testing may get done on Monday.
