Fun event at Stewart-Haas Racing headquarters sees pit crews face off
For anyone who expected internal combustion from all the bursting personalities in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series lineup that Stewart-Haas Racing put together for 2014 -- guess again, because it looks like they're the team having all the fun.
The pit crews of Tony Stewart, Kevin Harvick, Kurt Busch and Danica Patrick faced off Friday in the organization's "Pit Crew Throwdown", where each crew raced against the clock to make the quickest pit stop in a bracket-style tournament.
The event, which was attended and emceed by Miss Sprint Cup and NASCAR personality Jeff Hammond, certainly looked like a fun, team-building exercise before everyone heads down to Daytona for Speedweeks.
Just keep doing what you're doing, SHR.
Patrick's crew had the best mark on the day, spinning an average stop time of 11.32 seconds.
