'Smoke' ends Twitter holdout with fantastic initial tweet
CONCORD, N.C. -- Tony Stewart: proud supporter of the NASCAR Green initiative.
The three-time Sprint Cup Series champion took a page out of Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s playbook and ended one of the more notable Twitter holdouts, sending out his first tweet Friday from Charlotte Motor Speedway, the site of Saturday night's NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race.
'Smoke', who has had an account for quite some time but had not actually tweeted anything, acknowledged that with his Twitter emergence, hell is freezing over.
Ok so here it is. I'm doing my part to combat global warming because now that I'm officially tweeting, hell is freezing over!— Tony Stewart (@TonyStewart) May 16, 2014
Carl Edwards, you're officially on the clock.
