The world learned of Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s, um, interesting taste in lunch cuisine when he posted a picture of his favorite sandwich -- banana and mayonnaise -- Tuesday on Twitter.

But whether you went home and made the sandwich yourself or wrinkled your nose in disgust, the No. 88 driver is uniting fans on one common front: Feeding children.
"Look, we got such a huge response from my tweet the other day, here's what we've done," Earnhardt said in a video posted by JR Motorsports (which you can see below). "We've created a website -- DaleJrSandwich.com. It's nothing fancy -- it's just a place to donate for the Dale Jr. Foundation. We're going to let you guys donate for two weeks until April 23 – that's the day that I race the Hellman's car at Richmond -- and I'm going to match whatever you guys donate up to $50,000."
The money raised will go toward Blessings in a Backpack, a non-profit organization that focuses on feeding school-age children across the United States.
"That way, whether you like the sandwich or not," Earnhardt said, "we can all agree that something good came out of it."
Awesome stuff, Junior and JR Motorsports.
To donate, visit DaleJrSandwich.com before April 23.
Update: Hellmann's announced Friday that it would also donate $50,000 to the charity.
