Jimmie Johnson and Ryan Newman battled on the track and then had a heated exchange in the garage following Sunday's Pure Michigan 400 at Michigan International Speedway. Hours after the race, Johnson took their disagreement to Twitter for a good cause.
"I think you might need to cool off a little bit."

"I think you might need to cool off a little bit," Johnson said in an Instagram video as he challenged Newman to take the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge before accepting a bucket of ice himself.
In addition to Newman, Johnson challenged his crew chief, Chad Knaus, and NASCAR President Mike Helton. Watch below.
Johnson initially elected to pass on taking the dunk when challenged by Dale Earnhardt Jr. on Friday, opting to instead make a donation.
UPDATE: Newman accepted the challenge from "some guy named Jimmie Johnson," and he used some heavy machinery to get it done. NASCAR President Mike Helton accepted Jamie McMurray's nomination for a $1,000 donation.
