Four-time champ says: "I know that I'm going to gloat if (U.S) wins" vs. Belgium

Four-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Jeff Gordon has shown his support for the U.S. men's national team in the FIFA World Cup with tweets before Team USA's first two matches.

Gordon even tweeted a No. 24 Gordon jersey before the Portugal game.

But Tuesday's American tilt with Belgium in the sudden-death knockout round of 16 could create a rift in the Gordon household.

Gordon's wife, model and actress Ingrid Vandebosch, is Belgian.

On Friday at Kentucky Speedway, Gordon addressed the potential international incident between the spouses.

"I know that I'm going to gloat if we win, and she's going to really get on me if they don't," Gordon said. "I've been so excited because those are the two teams that I'm going to pull for, and then I didn't realize that they were going to be playing one another. So I'm definitely going to pull for USA, but if they don't win, I certainly will be pulling for Belgium as well."

When asked whether he may talk some smack before the 4 p.m. ET kickoff on Tuesday, Gordon said, "Yeah, I do a little trash talking.

"We're usually busy with the kids around that time so I don't know if we're going to be taking time out of our schedule with the kids to actually watch the game. But I'm hoping that we do get a chance to watch some of it because I'd be interested to see how divided we'd actually be. It could be fun."
