1: The number of laps Clint Bowyer has led in eight NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races combined this season. Bowyer has six finishes of 15th or better, including three top fives, and he’s ninth in the series standings, but he hasn’t led a lap since the season-opening Daytona 500. Bowyer led Lap 40 before turning the top spot over to Matt Kenseth and hasn’t seen clean air since then. Perhaps that will change Saturday night at Richmond, Bowyer’s best track statistically. Two of Bowyer’s eight career victories have come at the .75-mile short track, and the driver of the No. 15 Michael Waltrip Racing Toyota has an average finish of 9.6 at Richmond, better than his average at any other track.
