160.577: In miles per hour, the record speed of last spring’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Texas Motor Speedway, won by Greg Biffle. That was nearly eight miles per hour faster than the previous mark (152.705 mph) set in the fall of 2011, when Tony Stewart won at Texas en route to his third Cup championship. To a large degree, Biffle’s record speed was a function of a track-record-low two cautions for a track-record-low 10 laps.
