22,572: The number of laps Mark Martin has run in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at Martinsville Speedway, more than at any other track. Martin, who hasn’t raced at the .526-mile short track since 2011, will begin his stint as a substitute for injured Denny Hamlin at the paper-clip-shaped speedway on Apr. 7. In 48 starts at Martinsville, Martin has two victories, 12 top fives, 25 top 10s and a career-average finish of 13.3. Hamlin’s average finish in 15 races at Martinsville is 8.2, a number helped by the Virginia driver’s four victories there.
