In his first nine races that year, Yarborough had four wins, three seconds a third and a fifth. He ended the season with 10 victories in 30 races but finished second to Richard Petty in the championship standings. Brad Keselowski has four straight top fives this season, tied with Jimmie Johnson (2005) for most top fives to start a campaign since Rusty Wallace opened the 1998 Cup season with five straight.
