Why do I have to register?

Anyone is free to visit our Message Board as a guest. However, before you can participate and post messages on the Message Board, we ask that you become a member of the community. To do this, Click on your favorite board, you will be prompted to register. On this page you will select your member name and password which is your personal identification for access to our message board.

After I complete my registration, I get a message saying “Registration Incomplete” and I cannot continue. Why?

When this happens, there may be required information missing from the registration form or the member name you have selected is already taken. Scroll down the registration form to find the problem which will be printed in red above the area that should be corrected. Our service provider has a large database of member names. If your member name is not available, be creative, perhaps use a mix of letters and numbers.

When I login, I get an error that says "Membername/Password combination invalid" - what does that mean?

You may be mistyping your E-Mail Address, Password, or both, when attempting to login. To access the Message Board, you must use the E-Mail Address and Password combination that you chose when you first registered. If you cannot recall that information, please refer to the e-mail we sent you after signing up, entitled "Welcome to Forums!" This message contains a reminder of your log in information.

If you do not see the "Attach Files" button, you may be in Basic View and will need to switch to Advanced View. What is the difference between Advanced View and Basic View?

Advanced View shows one or all messages in a discussion. You are also given the options to email a posting, print or bookmark a message, ignore the author or report a violation. However, when posting in Advanced View, you can attach a file or photo (if available).

What is the difference between MemberName and Nickname?

The MemberName (sometimes known as “UserName”) is the name you choose to log on to the Community Message Board. It is usually the name you are known as in the Community. However, because our service provider is part of a larger database, there may be times when your MemberName is already taken. In this instance, we offer you the option of using a Nickname. For example, if your MemberName is "JohnDoe" but it is taken, we recommend you revise your MemberName to a variation such as "JohnDoe123" (this will be the name you log in on) and make "JohnDoe" your Nickname. Your Nickname will be the moniker shown when you post and receive messages.
