Frequently Asked Questions
Please use the information to help with accessing the Message Boards. All issues not outlined below should be reported using the form below.
Font Size
The font size for nonregistered users is too large. Until this glitch is corrected we recommend that you login each time you visit the message boards. Thank you for your patience.
If the text is overlapping and you are registered and logged into the message boards, goto "preference", scroll down to Discussion message-body font size: and clear that field. This should correct the problem.
Forgotten nickname and password
Effective, Thursday, May 30, 2002, NASCAR.COM has implemented a "HINT" system to retrieve account passwords.
To retrieve your password, go to the login page, click "LOST PASSWORD" and enter your username and password hint phrase. The system will autmatically send you the account password.
If your account has an invalid email address, you will need to register again using an valid address. If you do not remember your password hint, you can request that it be sent to you by sending an email to Sysop.
Username requests require inclusion of the email address used to register and will receive a response within 72 hours.
Usernames, password hints and passwords are sent to the e-mail address used to register.
To edit the password, go to “Preferences” after you log-in
No Access
To post a message, you must be a fully registered user and logged into the system. If you receive this message, click "login" or "register" to become a full member. To confirm registration, check your e-mail for a confirmation letter.
No Access - Registered User
Our system is set-up to accept one e-mail per nickname. If you are able to create two accounts using the same e-mail, one account may be read-only. Use the feedback form to have the account(s) edited or removed.
Post did not appear
Our system uses a filter to flag messages that may include offensive language. Occasionally common word combinations will flag a message. Stored messages are reviewed several times a day. Post that contain violations will be disapproved and will not be released.
Report Board Violations
To assist us in keeping the community clean, please report rule of conduct violations by using the form below. Your e-mail should include the nickname, board name and post number.

REGISTRATION
Login Error
Login will fail if:
the name selected was not available. Try to register using a different name.
the nickname or password is incorrect. Confirm the nickname on your welcome letter or have a new password sent to you.
No Confirmation E-mail
When registering, you must enter a valid e-mail address to complete the registration process. If the e-mail address is incorrect you may need to register again.
Validation Error - Invalid Link
If you receive an invalid link when attempting to validate your registration, use the feedback form to report the problem. Include the nickname and the e-mail address used to register and we will try to validate the account for you.
