A member of the legendary Alabama Gang, Red Farmer won three consecutive NASCAR Busch Series Grand National Division championships from 1969-71. Farmer's best finish in the NASCAR Cup Series division was fourth in the 1968 Middle Georgia 500, the first race of the "1968" season -- although it actually took place Nov. 12, 1967. Farmer won numerous track championships in his adopted state of Alabama and competed well into his 60s.
